In the New Year Julie is planning to have the occasional chat to some mates, play you some up and coming tunes plenty of old school tracks, have tea and bickies with our regular competition winners and probably include a fair bit of girly stuff

The Vodka and Curling Tongs Girls Night Sessions, make us proud to have been described as women’s hour on acid and there will plenty for you to all join in on.

Techie talk, politics, films and books are always possible, and we will regularly bring you some guest mixes from folk who may well be obsessed with vinyl. Some weeks it may be just tunes that you hate to admit that you love, or tunes that really show your age. Depends what’s going on or what kind of mood old Silvatung herself is in.

Penny & Ashtray's CYBERTRONIC MIX was such a fantastic third place and it has a special place in our hearts. We couldn't make it a part of this package but they will be featured in our first Radio offering in Spring and you are going to hear lots more from them.

This wonderous mix will be a part of our release on the 28th of this month along with our last winner Sean Mullens ‘aka grandbrother’s’ exquisite mix that is already proving to be a real favourite. From Tuesday you will hear previews of all the mixes here on site but for now we will leave you with all our wonderful piped at the post tracks for your delectation.

We did of course have many worthy entrants and the competition was extremely tight. The equal runners up for us were the Razor sharp mix from Micky B and a sterling near miss by our lovely Fauxstar with equal but uniquely different qualities that showed how quickly that lads potential will manifest. Finally third place to Nick Annies who’s mix with a little more attention could well have been a winner. So nearly there for us Nick.
